Never be too quick to delete your old RAW files. You never know what you might be able to do with a photograph in the future, whether through technical advances or changes in your own creative vision.

I came across this image while looking back through my archive. It was taken nearly ten years ago at dawn with a Canon SL1 and Sigma 17-50mm 2.8 lens at ISO 1600. The photograph was significantly underexposed, and trying to bring up the exposure produced awful noise. At the time, I couldn't get the image where I wanted it.
Fast forward to 2026, and modern noise reduction has given me a new way to approach it. With a little help from Lightroom's Denoise feature, I was able to bring this photograph back to life. Check out the new edit!
